Unchallenging ourselves

January 20, 2022 Fateme Banishoeib

What if the key to transform was letting transformation go?

There is this constant push to become better, to improve, to grow, a sort of aggression against simply being human. Almost as if we regarded ourselves (and humanity) as faulty objects to be fixed. Constantly chasing, proving, striving. A perennial motion to become superior to become superhuman. A relentless hunger that doesn’t leave any space for acceptance, for truth, for learning, for our shared nature.

The being human and the practices that reconnect us with our humanity are at the core of my work, of my poems, of my art making. It’s more than a theme to be explored. It’s the beating heart at RNEWB. To me, it is what we are here for: becoming radically HUMAN and care for the collective humaneness in respect of life.

“It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.” – Oriah Mountain Dreamer

What if we could learn to be in resonance with our true heart’s longing?

What if we could learn from its rhythm to resonate and reconnect with our true self?

What if this was a doorway to be in resonance whit life?

This resonance brings the interdependence among the I, the we and the space (our context/environment).

My invitation to you, to us all, is to drop the beating drum of challenges to become the best and embrace (y)our true nature. Maybe what we need the most, right now, right here, is being seen for who we are, and being welcomed for who we are. Isn’t this acceptance (of us and others) the biggest challenge we struggle with?

If you’d like to “unchallenged” and reconnect with your true self consider participating in this 4-week self paced practice . We start January 25th.
