This is a reflection for all of those doing the soul work.
Have you ever stopped and reflected on: "What happens to a world that feeds on wisdom but does not feed the ones who offer it?"
What happens to the poet, the healer, the teacher, the guide, when every offering becomes public service and still, they are not paid?
This work is not content.
It is lifeblood, harvested through decades, through silence, through sorrow, through beauty hard-won.
And yet how often it is consumed, admired, scrolled past,
remaining unpaid?
If the work feeds you, do not leave the one who created it hungry.
If the words awaken something in you, let them also awaken your response-ability.
Because they are not free wells.
We are witnessing an increasing “entitlement epidemic” We complain about other’s entitlement, how entitled are our politicians or people in position of power. Rarely, we admit our own entitlement. It’s time we wake up and acknowledge all the ways in which we are complicit and then, do something about it.
Find ways to support those people you admire, those you consider wise, those who inspire you. Do not simply ask their time to share your own story or their advice. Ask them how you can support them!
These are some ways to support my own work. Ask those around you what they need.
