We have been convinced that independence is a good substitute for freedom. It’s not! I speak from the place of an “highly independent woman”…I have been since a very young age. The truth is that independence it’s (maybe) a first step, but it leads us into separation and dissociation, and not to true freedom.
Independence, can be empowering in some respects, it also has the potential to foster separation and dissociation. It's easy to become isolated in our pursuit of independence, disconnected from the interwoven fabric of humanity.
True freedom, on the other hand, transcends the confines of independence. It's about more than just breaking away; it's about forging genuine connections, embracing interdependence, and honoring the inherent worth and dignity of every individual. Freedom is found not in isolation, but in the richness of our relationships and the depth of our understanding.
To truly embody freedom, we must be willing to go beyond independence and delve into the complexities of our interconnected existence. It requires courage to challenge the status quo, to question the narratives that equate independence with success, and to embrace vulnerability in our relationships.
Are we independent enough to come together and create a world where everyone is free—a world where every voice is heard, every perspective is valued, and every individual is free to live authentically.

Freedom's path, not just lone quest,
